2024+ Road Glide & Street Glide Handlebars
The 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide, like the 2023.5 CVO models, got new hand controls and a new throttle-by-wire design, so bars must be drilled to suit: the Thrashin 2024-2025 bars will not work with pre-2024 fly-by-wire setups. Below are the bars, bar-and-riser kits and mounting parts listed for 2024+ FLTRX Road Glide and FLHX Street Glide models.
Fitment notes & FAQ for 2024+ Road Glide and Street Glide bars
For the tall T-bar look, the Thrashin bundles pair mid-bend (4" rise) or high-bend (5.5" rise) bars with 6" to 9.5" risers and mounting hardware, and the bars also sell separately. Prefer a one-piece bar? The LA Choppers and Drag Specialties 1-1/4" apes (10" to 14") are listed for the Road Glide. Its fairing is frame-mounted, so Thrashin risers bolt to the stock bushing location without cutting the nacelle. The Street Glide batwing turns with the forks, and there the risers need the Street Glide riser adapter plate; the gauge housing must be cut.
The bundle setups use the stock clutch and brake cables. Check each product's listing before you order, and see our 2024 Road Glide handlebar and riser install.
2024+ Road Glide & Street Glide handlebar FAQ
Do I need bars made for the 2024+ Road Glide or Street Glide?
Use bars listed for 2024+ models. These bikes have new hand controls, and the bars here are drilled for them; the Thrashin 2024-2025 bars state they will not work with pre-2024 fly-by-wire setups. Each product shows the years and models it is listed for. Check your year and model code (for example FLTRX or FLHX) before you order: confirming fitment for your bike is up to you.
Do I need longer cables or a wiring extension?
It depends on the total height. The setups in the Thrashin 2024-2025 FLH Bar Bundle use the stock clutch and brake cables, and the stainless Thrashin bars note that stock cables work with 9.5" risers and 5.5" high-bend bars (15" total rise). For taller bars, the Custom Dynamics 4" throttle-by-wire extension harness is listed for the 2024 Road Glide and Street Glide. With the bar bundle, the throttle tube and grips are bought separately.
Is the setup the same on a Road Glide and a Street Glide?
The Thrashin 2024-2025 bars are listed for both, but the mounting differs. On the Road Glide the risers bolt to the stock bushing location. The Street Glide needs the Thrashin Street Glide riser adapter plate (included in the 2024+ Street Glide kit): the gauge housing must be cut, and on 2024 Street Glides you lose the use of the fairing storage drawer. Read the adapter listing for key switch notes. The LA Choppers and Drag Specialties apes are listed for the Road Glide only.
