Arizona Bike Week | Tortilla Flat Day Ride

Day Rides in Bike Week

It's our first full day in bike week and we decided to hit up one of our favorite day rides in the area out to the small town of Tortilla Flat, showing the rest of the crew some great curves and scenery before having a night out.

We started off the day at Butterfield's Pancake House then ended up running to a handful of different phone stores to try and get Cole's phone fixed after dropping it on the road the day prior. We eventually got on the road and headed towards Apache Junction, where we would head follow East Apache Trail aka SR88 passing Canyon Lake through the Superstition Mountains all of the way into town. The ride is full of tight curves, smooth roads, vibrant views, and narrow bridges and never disappoints...even when you get stuck behind slow cars.

We grabbed some good eats at the Superstition Saloon and walked around town for a bit, then headed back out to make our way to Goldfield Ghost Town which is about a 25 minute ride from Tortilla Flat. Goldfield is an old Western style ghost town full of shops, historic buildings, and a saloon, and always makes for a great stop when riding through the area. Lance Jr wanted to make it back to the AirBnB in time to watch one of his video premieres so we boogied back into Scottsdale making good time and spent a couple hours relaxing at the house.

After a little R&R we saddled up and rode out to Cave Creek to meet some friends and see what it was all about! It was pretty busy out there when we showed up but things died down quite a bit as the night went on. At the time, we were a bit bummed on the turnout, but when we came back the next day it did not disappoint!

After a great day riding, exploring, and meeting people out on the road, we decided to call it a night and get ready for the day ahead.

If you don't go, you won't know!

See you down the road..
