Riding to the Best View in Death Valley
Is this the best view in Death Valley?
Day 3 of our weekend motorcycle journey takes us through Death Valley National Park. After a stay in the park at The Oasis, we had our sights set on a view we have yet to see, despite having traveled to Death Valley numerous times over the past decade.
We stopped to show the newbies Zabriskie Point before making our way over to Dante's View which was something we've all been meaning to check out! Dante’s View is one of the most jaw-dropping viewpoints in Death Valley National Park. Perched over 5,000 feet above Badwater Basin, Dante’s View offers sweeping panoramic views of the valley floor, surrounding mountain ranges, and endless desert landscapes. We filmed a section of our review video there for the 2026 bikes and that backdrop was something special!
It was awesome to see the park from a new perspective and the winding road leading up to the viewpoint didn't disappoint either! From Dante's view, we had about an hour ride to make it out to Shoshone, CA for lunch at The Crowbar Cafe & Saloon, which despite being in the middle of nowhere has always cooked up some awesome grub! We've stopped by a handful of times and they know what they're doing behind those kitchen barn doors!
Our entire route home for the day was about 440 miles, but once we left lunch, we only had about 250 miles to cover and a lot of it was through some epic desert scenery before the final stretch of freeway home. It was another epic trip and a helluva way to kick off the new year and we can't wait for the next trip!
See y'all down the road!
