We set a budget of $5000 and started scouring the internet on Facebook marketplace and social media for weeks on end. After lowballing some strangers and sifting through all of the scams and suspicious listings, we eventually found 3 bikes that made a good fit! The plan is to throw on some basic parts to make the bike ours and get them comfortable for the long haul, replace the fluids, and do some basic maintenance before the 3,000 mile round trip. We not only wanted to show that you don't need a fancy brand new bike to do these trips, but we also wanted that nostalgic experience of riding an early Harley-Davidson without all of the new tech.

We're looking forward to getting these things dialed in and sharing the experience with y'all! We've got a few more things up our sleeve for the ride to Sturgis and for the bikes themselves so stay tuned!
