Made it to Sturgis! - Sturgis 2022 Ride - Day 4
Let the Rally Begin!

Two moto-vloggers passionate about traveling and the open road.
One of our favorite days of the year...the day we pull into Sturgis! Making good time on a brisk 4 day ride in from Southern California, we were excited to finally get into down and enjoy some time spent exploring the Black Hills!
After some long days on the way in, we caught up on some sleep and enjoyed a nice chuck wagon omelette station at the Best Western Pioneer in Lusk, then got packed up and hit the road! It's only about 140 miles into Deadwood from Lusk, so we took our time and enjoyed the ride on the way in.
After a few twists of the throttle, we crossed into South Dakota and were met with the familiar tree covered landscape with some great curves, roadside streams, all on a bright sunny day!
Usually, our first stop on the way in is The Boar's Nest, but this year we decided to go straight to the Sturgis sign before making our way back to Deadwood. Before heading to our stay, we stopped at Jacob's Brewhouse for lunch, which has become one of our favorite restaurants in town after eating there in May during our "Sturgis without the rally" trip. We all enjoyed one of our first healthy meals of the trip, had some laughs and good times, then cruised down the road to our rental house for our stay in Deadwood.
For the past few years, we've always stayed in Sturgis, so we decided to switch things up and stay in Deadwood, which ended up being a great experience!
After settling in and relaxing for a while, we parked the bikes, called a makeshift party bus taxi, and headed into Downtown Deadwood in style! We met some great people in town and saw some familiar faces, then made our way to one of our favorite steakhouses, The Deadwood Social Club for a delicious celebratory meal!
While at dinner, we met some awesome fans who came up to our table to say hello, and we heard some inspiring stories, and even saw a huge Route 66 mural tattoo! After dinner, we walked the town, checked out some saloons, saw some great friends, then headed back to the house for some well-deserved rest!
We were excited to finally be in town and for the good times ahead!
The adventure continues..
See ya down the road!
