Williams, Arizona to Los Angeles on Route 66

Time to Hit the Road!

It's the final day of our ride out to Arizona through the cold desert winds and we set off from Williams, Arizona at 22 degrees (F) to make our way home to Los Angeles by way of Route 66 visiting Hackberry, Kingman, Cool Springs, and Oatman with some great riding along the way!

We started out the day by walking down to our favorite breakfast spot in town, Anna's Grand Canyon Cafe before warming up the bikes and getting on the road. Although there would be a few stretches on I40, the plan for the day was to ride as much of Route 66 as possible to show the first timer (Zac) some cool spots that we frequent along the way.

Our time on the Mother Road started in Seligman as we passed through town to make our way towards the Hackberry General Store where we'd take our first rest stop, reminiscing on the early days of 2LaneLife and our stops there, recording videos with our phones with the wives from some of our very first episodes. We shot some pictures, checked out the old cars and vintage signs, then covered the next stretch of road to Kingman, where we would grab some lunch and check out the famous Route 66 Arch in downtown.

During our time in Kingman filming for our "Route 66 Legacy" video series, we got to see Mr. D'z but it was closed, so we took this opportunity to eat there and try things out. In our experience, it was nothin' special, but we eat least got some decent burgers and filled up for the remaining 330 mile stretch home.

From Kingman, we followed 66 to Oatman, making a quick pitstop in Cool Springs along the way before enjoying some spirited riding on the infamous "Arizona Sidewinder" an incredible 8 mile stretch of twists, turns, and elevation change which is still one of our favorite rides to date. Despite being an overcast day, Oatman still had plenty of people passing through and we showed Zac some burros before heading out of town for the final stretch. The final 300 miles were pretty much just gas stops and beef jerky, but that's how it goes sometimes on the open road!

It was an end to another memorable trip and we hope y'all enjoyed the 4 episode series! We'll be dropping a video on Josh & Zac's experiences capturing this trip behind the scenes, then we'll be getting into our Wild West Pioneertown and Joshua Tree Trip!

See you down the road..
