Legend Suspensions - Facility Tour & Shop Talk

Touring a "Legendary" Facility!

2LaneLife

Two moto-vloggers passionate about traveling and the open road.

It's not often you get to see the behind-the-scenes of popular companies or even meet the amazing people behind the products. During our tour around the shop, we were able to see first hand how they operate and get a glimpse into how they've gotten to where they are today. Legend's innovative facility is nothing short of...legendary, and we're glad to be a part of the Legend Family! They are truly some great people and they inspire us to keep riding and building our brand.

Behind the Scenes

The Legend Facility is truly state of the art, and learning about their processes like production and assembly showed us just how much time and effort goes into making such quality products that anyone would be proud to stand behind...or ride...you know what we mean. Jesse showed us how the components start out, how they are assembled, and what goes into various steps of the process to ensure that the production operates efficiently and each product is assembled to the highest standard.

Leaders of the Pack

The Legend team works diligently and perfects their process every step of the way. We learned about how they keep their processes streamlined and efficient in order to operate on a lean business model. Doing so results in less waste, higher quality products, fewer errors, and faster delivery to customers. There is so much more going on within companies such as Legend, and we were glad to be able to see a small part of what goes on behind closed doors.

Top-Notch Components for a Top-Notch Ride

There's a reason they're leaders in the industry, and it's not just their business operations. While many manufacturers of both OEM and aftermarket products cut corners and use sub-par materials to cut costs, that's not the case with Legend's products. An example of this would be their utilization of spherical bearings. These bearings replace the rubber grommets that are found in most other suspensions and allow for proper alignment and suspension positioning when mounted. Suspension moves on more than just a vertical axis in the rear, so these bearings allow the suspension to move freely and eliminate suspension bind.

The Legend Family

In was an honor to learn more about the brand and hang with the Legend crew. Just as Jesse stated, "we're not a suit and tie company, we're a big family, and everybody has a passion for riding". Everyone there loves what they do and it most definitely shows in their products. We're always excited for the Legend experience, whether it be riding on the 2Lanes, or hanging with the Legend family. Thanks to the team for hospitality and the tour! Legend for life!

Behind the Build

After the tour, we got an in-depth look at the Feuling Parts W3 build. This is a one of a kind Road Glide with a patented 3-Cylinder Twin Cam motor that really makes you make a second take...or even a third. Evan from Feuling gave us a run-down on the build and it was genuinely interesting to hear. With a high-caliber build such as this, it was fitting that they also chose none other than Legend Suspension to ensure the bike handles as it should.

The Ride

This bike is no trailer queen either. Luke from Feuling actually rode this from SoCal to Sturgis with us, and it was epic to see this monster of a build just ripping down the highways and handling through the canyons. Previously, the longest distance it had been ridden was ~200 miles, so it was awesome to see it make the 1300 mile journey! Thanks to the Legend Suspension setup, they were able to make on the spot adjustments to fine-tune the ride as it was not initially set up with all of the luggage and gear needed for the Sturgis run.

More to Come..

We had an unbelievable time in Sturgis the year, and the ride was even better. Coming up next week is the first leg of our journey, and we can't wait to share with you guys! We're extremely grateful to be surrounded by such positive, like-minded individuals like the Legend and Feuling families, and it pushes us to keep going and do what we love! Stay tuned!

One Big Family

Once again, we want to thank Jesse at Legend and Evan from Feuling for taking time out of their busy schedules to show us around and educate us on their innovations! We would not be where we are today without people like this, and we are extremely grateful, thanks guys!

See ya down the road!

Stay safe...stay inspired!
